Nature Lover With a Travel Addiction
My name is Katie and I have a growing and undeniable urge to explore the various places of this Earth. My parents introduced me to longer term travel during an epic road trip when I was 12: from New York all across the United States to Seattle, down to San Francisco, Death Valley, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, and so much more, finally driving back to New York. We alternated camping at national parks and staying in hotels along the way. I gained a great appreciation for different ecosystems and natural wonders.
Since my high school graduation I have traveled to various other countries to study abroad, volunteer, and work. I enjoyed nature so much that I received a bachelor's degree in marine biology and environmental science and a master's degree in environmental management. I am growing increasingly restless and while my classmates are busy applying for jobs, I am talking about where I want to travel next. I am interested in slower, longer-term travel. The purpose of this website is to document my travels for myself, family, friends, and anybody else that may be interested.
